Rain periods and flat at Dee Why

Raining at Dee Why and no sign of waves

Hello Friends,

The day started out with showers and 8-10 kts of SSE wind at Dee Why. Surf was not an option thanks to there being only a metre of 6-sec SSE wind bump on offer. That said, there was some 11-second stuff showing in the 0400 wave data snapshot from the MHL. So, who knows, maybe if you hang around in the right spot for long enough, something in the knee to waist high range will come in.
Tide’s low at 0815 and it’ll be back to a 1.5m high at 1430.
The showers should clear away this morning as we head to a partly cloudy day with a high of 25.
This morning’s swell models are pointing to a slight bump late tomorrow (likely after dark), then a fade on Friday before coming back up for Saturday. It’ll be good to see what the Goat thinks tomorrow, but right now I’m thinking Saturday morning is a good prospect for shoulder plus sets at south swell spots.
Go well and keep on smilin’!
