Rainy, small and junky

Hello Friends,
What a difference a day makes. The heat is gone and it’s raining steadily along the coast this morning.
Wind at North Head was SSE at 10-12 kts as of 0700. The 0400 MHL data was showing 2.5 metres of 8-second S wind bump. Visibility was too low for pictures as I wrote the report, so I’ll have to post something later when I can get closer to the beach. But I’m not expecting to see anything too interesting given the basic settings. Here’s how North Bondi RSL cam looked at 0740

North Bondi RSL cam doesn’t make it look too inviting

The forecast tells us we can expect more rain and more SE wind today and tomorrow and the surf outlook isn’t much to get excited about. I suppose if you’re really keen you could find something in the waist to chest range – so long as you don’t mind junky and chaotic conditions.
The Goat will be along later with his weekend and beyond forecast and as always I’ll be interested to see his take on the prospects. From my reading of the runes, we’re in for more so-so than so-good across the coming week. Ah well, on we go, another day closer to the next great session.
Stay happy!
