Mist making it look mythic. Dee Why at 0645

Hello Friends,

Interesting misty quality to the Dee Why seascape at 0645 this morning, and it looked like there could be little waist-ish sets at the beach and maybe even occasionally the point. Wind was near calm, but it should be northerly 15-20 kts going NE later. The MHL data from early this morning was showing a metre of 6-sec wind swell from the ENE. Tide’s high at 0910 and will be back to low at 1545.
You probably know already that we’re heading for a hot 37 today and nearly the same again tomorrow. So it’s a safe bet the water’ll be busy anywhere there’s even a suggestion of a catchable bump. Looking at the Bureau’s modelling it would seem that the wave energy we’re seeing early will be fading a little over the next 24-48 hours. So, if you find something, pounce on it!
Go well with your day and stay cool!

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the Queensland coast and a low pressure system over the Bight is moving southeast. A northerly airstream is being directed over New South Wales coastal waters between these two systems. A trough of low pressure associated with the low is expected to move slowly through the southwest of the state over the next few days, bringing a southerly change to the far south coast later Friday. It will then progress slowly along the coast over the ensuing days, reaching the far north coast on Monday.
