Completely socked in with steady rain at report-writing time this morning. The local cockatoo flock took the opportunity for some rain bathing right outside my window, so I grabbed a picture to share.
Wind at North Head was 10-12 kts from the NE and the MHL buoy at 0500 was showing 1.3 metres of 7-8 sec NE wind bump.
Tide was low just before 0800 and is now running into a 1.5m high at 1405.
So, not much reason from the numbers to get out in the rain for a wave this morning. Wind should stay about the same all day and the Bureau is predicting a mix of SE and E wind swells, so maybe possibly it’ll look more inviting once the showers back off…
