Hello Friends,

Light east breeze showing at North Head around 0730, but Dee Why was looking glassy. There were knee to waist high bumps along the beach and, if the crowd hanging around out there’s any guide, there’s something at the point too. MHL’s Sydney buoy was registering a metre of 7-sec east bump as of 0500. Tide’s low at 0900 and will be back to a 1.5 metre high at 1510.
It was raining down the Shire way as I wrote this, but the weather radar shows only a few more spots of rain getting to Sydney over the coming hours. Wind should pick up into the 10-15 kt range from the east too.
The ever reliable Goat has taken a look at the surf prospects for the coming week and as usual I concur with his wise prognostications.
Have a top old Friday everyone and stay happy!

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the southern Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the New South Wales coast and maintains a southeast to northeasterly airstream across the coastal waters. Little change is expected to this pattern until a low pressure trough moves across the state on Sunday and Monday, sending a southerly change along coastal waters.
