Full and tiny at Dee Why Monday

Maybe you could catch a knee high bump up the beach…

Hello Friends,
Not much of anything showing at Dee Why around 0650 this morning. The wind was around 10 kts from the NE and at 0500 the MHL buoy was showing 1.7 metres of 7-sec of east wind bump out at sea. Tide was high at 0610, so Dee Why looked fat and very small when I grabbed the pictures; I’d say ankle to knee with maybe the odd waist high bomb.
The wind should wander around to the SE later this morning before settling to the NE this afternoon.
According to the Bureau’s modelling, the swell should stay around the current level more or less through Wednesday when we should see a change to more southerly conditions. Right now it doesn’t look as though we’ll see much of any improvement to surf prospects until (maybe) the weekend.
Have a great Monday everyone!

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the northern New South Wales coast. This pattern will maintain an east to northeasterly airstream over the coast for the next few days, apart from a brief southerly change along the south coast on today as a trough moves through. A stronger southerly change is forecast to move up the coast during Wednesday and Thursday.
