North wind, east wind bump for Friday

Hello Friends,

As of 0700 wind was light from the north and the MHL buoy’s latest reading showed 1.3 metres of 7-sec ENE wind bump. Next tide is a 1.9m high at 0840. From the cams it looks as though you can expect fatish, side-shorey knee to waist and a bit bumps at a reasonable frequency. It’s going to be stupid hot across the next couple days, so I reckon the water will be busy. According to beachwatch, the ocean’s a balmy 24.

Still waiting for an uptick in swell here in SoCal, so no fresh postcards at this point.

Here’s the official marine forecast for your consideration. And of course, you should look at the Goat’s words for the shape of the coming week.

Have a great day everybody!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge along the New South Wales coast. A trough extends from northwestern Australia to southwest Victoria. A cold front crossing Tasmania is expected to link up with this trough and bring a weak southerly change to southern and central parts of the coast today but then weaken, with winds turning back to northeasterly during Saturday. A stronger cold front is expected to bring another southerly change to the south coast on Saturday and the remainder of the coast on Sunday and Monday.
