Small but definitely waves this morning

Hello Friends,

At 0600 tide was just on the low, winds were light from the SW, surface conditions were smooth and the MHL buoy was detecting about 1.7 metres of 9-sec SE swell. That’s better than yesterday’s forecasts and it should mean waist to even chest at magnet spots as the tide comes in. Wind should be mellow this morning before swinging around to the NE. Beachwatch says it’s 25 in the water and the Bureau says the air will only be a couple degrees warmer at 27.

A touch smaller than yesterday, but still little waves at north Bondi this am

Still waiting for the swell to perk here in California, so again I’ve pulled a frame grab from the Surfline cams. This time you’re looking at the south side of Huntington Beach pier this morning. It’s so small that there’s no one in the water. No one at Huntington means really, really bad. So we hang in there for another day or two before the next onslaught of winter swell…

Nobody in the water at the south side Huntington pier this morning.
