The day before the big storm, I headed down to Rincon and grabbed a few shoulder to head and a bit waves with a biggish crowd competing for every one of ’em. By the time I got out the sets were starting to push into the 1.5x overhead range. Water was a chilly 13-14 but there wasn’t any wind and swell was comparatively clean.
