A wave or two but smaller than yesterday

Hello Friends,

Another sunny morning for Sydney and it looks as though we have little waves too. The MHL buoy was showing about a metre of 8-sec SE wind swell at 0500. When I checked it at 0700 it looked bigger than I’d expect given those numbers and the 1.8m high tide at 0830. So, I submit the pictures, but I’m aware they may possibly belie the tininess. I reckon you’re looking at mostly knee and maybe a bit with the very occasional waist high set.
This morning’s forecast models are telling us to expect the energy to fade away to near flat today and tomorrow before beginning to step up again from the NE late Wednesday and peaking Thursday as a stiff southerly pushes through. At this stage some of the models are predicting that there might be a little window of opportunity on Thursday morning as the wind goes from the northerly quarters around to the south and the rain kicks in heavily.
Have yourself a great Monday everyone!
