The Goat’s Easter Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 13 April 2017:

Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Well the wind looks like finally easing up but there’ll still be some sizable waves pushing through for some days yet at places open to the South and even getting into the protected corner, before it too starts to ease back. The Low in the Tasman that’s been responsible for both is heading off to spread some Easter cheer to NZ. It’s left us with a parting gift of waves all week.

With people going away and coming here for the long weekend there’ll be lots of rips at unfamiliar places, and waits between the sets, so TG’s advice is to spend some time checking the surf before racing out.  We want to see you all back here after the break… In fact I think you should report back on your adventures on your return, even if you’re not going anywhere.

Surf:

Friday: around 2-3 metres South East, with some sizable sets

Saturday: down a little in the 2-3 metre range, more South South East, but with sets

Sunday: 1-2 metre range South South East

Monday: upper end of the 1-2 metre range South East, with sets

Tuesday: mostly around 1 metre South East, but with bigger sets from East South East

Wednesday: ditto, East South East, and ditto

Thursday: around 1 metre East South East

Stay safe and have fun the surf.
