"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Oh look, there are waves after all

Hello Friends,

Always good when that happens. Figured it’d be smaller again this morning… I was wrong. There are in fact some waist to shoulder high sets along the No Mans stretch and the odd waist high line at the point. Wind was light from the NW under sunny skies. Tide was low at 0615 and will be back to a 1.3m at 1230. Wind should go NE around lunch time and it should be sunny all day. The MHL Sydney buoy hasn’t logged in since 10 pm yesterday, so I can’t give you the current height, period and direction offshore.
I’ll leave thoughts on the outlook to the Goat later, but my quick reading of the runes is that this morning’s pulse will probably fade quickly. Next week might have a moment or two though…
Have a great Thursday one and all!

Weather Situation
A south to southeast flow over the northern half of the coast will persist over the next couple of days and slowly weaken under the influence of a large ridge of high pressure. A weak southerly change will move through the south and central coasts today and Friday. Southerly winds are expected to generally strengthen along the coast over the weekend in response to the development of a low pressure system well offshore in the Tasman Sea.
