"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Hello Friends,
As dawn broke, wind was light from the SW and tide was dropping to the low at 0755. Skies were heavily overcast following some overnight rain. The MHL buoy was picking up close to 1.4 metres of 13-14 sec SE swell at 0500 – which is more than the Bureau was forecasting.
The Bureau’s modelling predicts the swell will fade slightly across the day but the wind should stick around at roughly the same velocity.
The only spot with a wave on the Collaroy-Narrabeen stretch was up at the very north end where a small group of enthusiasts were skimming in on the knee high combers. Around at the Longy to DY stretch, the optimal location was a zone from around the pole northward where I spotted a few waist and a bit sets in the mix. There were a few bods at the point, but it was struggling to reach the knee high mark. Quality was not overly impressive, but the surface conditions were dead glassy.
Outlook for tomorrow and Monday is for southerlies in the 15-25 kts but I am liking the look of mid-week on the models. If they have it right, Sunday and Monday are meh, but Tuesday-Thursday currently are shaping to maybe even be classic offshore and solid fun size waves in the shoulder plus range.
Here’s hoping!

Main focus of the energy from about the pole north
Almost unsurfably tiny at the point at 0700
Tiny peak at Northy
Tiny shories at south Narrabeen.
