Swell boost overnight

Hello Friends,

2.4 metres of 11-sec ESE swell rolling into Dee Why at 0715 this morning. Skies were overcast and wind was out of the west at around 10 kts. Even so, the ocean looked pretty lumpy as the tide drops to the low at 1030. There were a reasonable number of folk in the water at the point chasing the head to overhead sets but it looked as though you could have the beach to yourself. Wave quality wasn’t too amazing, but I’m sure it’s keeping them interested.
Wind should wander around to the SE according to the Bureau but by early afternoon it’s expected to be around to the SW. It should stay there until midday tomorrow before swinging southerly. Meanwhile the swell should get more easterly tomorrow and stick around at the two metre level. Thursday and Friday look like having waves, but Thursday am currently is forecast to see southerly wind.
Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Looks empty at No Mans as of 0715
Consistently rolling through at the point
Head plus sets at 0715

Size but not sure if it’s all that surfable along the beach

Weather Situation
A low pressure system lies well offshore over the central Tasman Sea while a large ridge of high pressure extends across southern New South Wales. The combination of these systems is directing southwest to southeasterly winds across New South Wales Waters. Stronger winds are expected for the northern half of the coast until Wednesday, when the low pressure system moves further away to the east. The high pressure ridge is expected to persist until the end of the week.
