Hello Friends,
Grabbed this morning’s pics right on the 0800 1.5 m high tide. As you can see the point was firing nicely thanks to 2.4 metres of 134 degree (SSE) 14-sec swell. Wind was light and out of the NW at about 5 kts, so the point had a bit of surface texture going on. Looked to be head and a bit with the solidly overhead bomb both there and north along the beach. Sunny skies, pumping swell and Sunday gets you crowds, so if you’re going in, I’d take the cruisy attitude.
Swell is expected to fade a fair amount over the next 24 hours, but there should be waves all day (the wind’ll be a factor in south corners though). Monday morning may still have a few scraps left but the big stuff will likely be all gone. This morning’s models are showing a very long period dead south pulse arriving mid to late Tuesday which should, with luck, perk the energy levels into the interesting to fun range from midweek…

Weather Situation
A high pressure system will shift northwards to northern New South Wales today as winds freshen and shift west to northwesterly ahead of a cold front moving through the southern parts of the state. Winds will then tend southwesterly on Monday in the wake of the front, before tending northwesterly again ahead of the next frontal system mid-week.
