Still waves at dusk

Hello Friends,
Just a late update to report that there were still waves to be had at Dee Why as the sun sank in the west. Wind was SSE 8-10 kts, so surface conditions for the late session were definitely choppy and junky looking. Swell is expected to still be happening tomorrow morning and with luck we’ll see a repeat of the offshore conditions we had today for the early.
Tide will be heading to a highish high of 1.67 m at around 1100, so expect things to be pretty swamped by 9 ish and to stay that way until after lunch.
Some of the models are showing longer period swell for tomorrow early, so surf options will be pretty limited if that turns out to be correct…
Have a great evening!

Burn off time. I’d be a bit nervous if that was my house though

Water drop coming up
Just before 5pm a solid set at the point…

Weather Situation
The combination of a deep low over the southern Tasman Sea and a high over South Australia will maintain a vigorous south to southwesterly airstream over most coastal areas today. During the weekend the high will drift across New South Wales as the low moves further east, resulting in significantly lighter coastal winds on Sunday. By Monday the high will be centred over the northern Tasman Sea with coastal winds shifting northerly.
