"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Not small at all

Hello Friends,

Wild and woolly as Sunday got started. Sunny skies and light westerly wind greeting a raw looking south swell at Dee Why. Tide is heading to high at 1100 and swell is supposed to fade this morning. It was around 3.7 metres at 0600 and coming from the SSE at 14 seconds apart. It’s right on the limit of what the point can handle and as the pictures show it’s pretty messy looking. I’d say surf options are going to be limited this morning – and you’ll need to be both confident and fit.
Wind is supposed to be light and variable later, so maybe things will settle a little in the afternoon. Maybe.
Go well with your Sunday everyone and good luck if you get in!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system drifting over southeast Australia is promoting a gradual return to lighter winds this weekend, with many areas expected to see afternoon seabreezes today. By Monday the high will be over the northern Tasman Sea, as a trough and cold front approach New South Wales from the west. Northerly winds will freshen ahead of this feature, which is forecast to bring a vigorous west to southwesterly change later Wednesday or Thursday.
