The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 28 September 2017: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

First really cloudy day with a cool breeze I’ve had in quite some time, and already I’m looking for some blue sky…

And I Do Not like that cold water! Such a woos I know, but I know what I like.  Yeah yeah we need rain too.

The good news is,… warmer water is on its way down the coast and is getting closer to us. Might even be a bit warmer for the long weekend.

Surf’s been a bit all over the place and none too exciting except for brief moments of fun, depending on tides and winds.  Barton’s Kidssurffest has had challenging conditions, but that’s what its all about.  He and I are as one>>> What it’s all about is having fun in the surf, whatever you’re on, however you can.

So the outlook for fun, is

Friday: somewhere in the lower end of the 1-2 metre range at places that like dead South swell, only, with maybe a little pulse from time to time, and light offshore

Saturday: small early, up a little later, low end of the 1-2 metre range dead South spots with occasional sets, and offshore

Sunday: up a little bit, in the 1-2 metre rnage dead South places, and ditto, but onshore

Monday: back down around 1-1+ metres dead South places, with an occasional set, and light winds

Tuesday: 1 metre or so dead South

Wednesday: around 1 metre or so East

Thursday: starting to come up into the 1-2 metre range dead South places

Down in the Sea

Water temp is…?? MHL is having probs. Chloe and Jas’ Big Toe in the Water measurement today said it was “Freezing”.  But the good news for those like me who want warmer water is that the Bureau is showing that water around 20 degrees is on its way and could be here over the weekend.

Current-ly (hoho, get it?? I crack myself up) it’s just north of Sydney, swirling down with the East Coast Current, which is carrying whales, great white sharks, and all manner of things wanted and unwanted along with it.  Keep your eye out for a $50 bill… I ‘might have’ lost one up the coast… Let me know if you find one.
