"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Hello Friends,

Light WNW wind stirring the surface at 0800. Skies were partly cloudy and it was slightly hazy. The beach looked pretty quiet and the latest MHL data was showing about 1.25 m of 8-sec easterly wind bump. Tide was still coming into the 0840 1.6 m high when I grabbed the pictures. That, plus the tiny swell no doubt accounts for the largely empty line up.
As always, I’m interested to see how the Goat interprets the forecast data for the week ahead. For the better part of a week, the Bureau and the models have been showing a south pulse for the weekend. It still seems to be on the cards, but maybe not as vigorous as the early predictions indicated.
Have yourself a great Thursday!

Folks waiting along the beach but no one at the point as of 0800

Up the beach – a hint…

Weather Situation
A weak pressure pattern over coastal New South Wales is resulting in generally light winds this morning. Northeasterly winds will become dominant later in the day as a trough of low pressure approaches from the west. This trough will bring a southerly change to the southern coast overnight, continuing through most remaining waters on Friday, reaching the Queensland border early Saturday. A high pressure ridge looks set to drift across southeast Australia in the wake of this trough, accompanied by a gradual return to northerly winds.
