"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Very hazy start to Monday

Hello Friends,

No real sign of a wave at Dee Why when I checked for the first time around 0715. Interestingly the 0500 data from the MHL buoy was showing 1.3 metres of 13-sec SSE out at sea. So you might find a knee to waist set at a magnet.  Part of the problem has to be the deep 1.7 m high tide at 0910, so maybe possibly there might be a little more energy showing as it drops back. Problem is the NE’r will be 15-20 kts later, so options are likely to be limited to the north corners – and that’s assuming the swell stands up to the wind.

The Bureau’s and other swell models indicate a small hope of improvement midweek but we’re talking only very slight. Beyond that the highly speculative long range outlook was not inspiring this morning. Basically it looks like summer tininess lasting beyond Christmas.

Ah well.

Have a top old Monday everyone and go well with your plans!

No sign of energy at the point or in the corner as of 0715
