Hello Friends,
Swell has faded a touch overnight and this morning was around the metre mark. It was coming from the SE at about 10 seconds apart. Sets seem to be pretty few and far between (as they were yesterday morning), but when they arrive look to be in the knee to maybe waist range. Surface conditions were smooth under high cloud. Tide was low at 0740 and will be back to a 1.45 m high at 1340. Wind is set to be light and variable this morning, so if you have an opening in the schedule it could be worth a paddle in search of the odd bump. Conditions should be similar pretty much everywhere with exposure to the SE.
The Bureau says the south component of the swell should bump up this afternoon and last into the morning tomorrow and maybe even to Thursday. There’s some variability in the models with some predicting small to near flatness Friday, but others showing another bump up in energy into the waist high range during the afternoon and then trending up a little for the weekend. Water’s a beautiful 23oC atm, so just going for a paddle has it’s own attractions.

A strong high pressure system southwest of Tasmania with a ridge along the New South Wales coast is moving east very slowly, directing south to southeasterly winds across the western Tasman Sea. Winds will turn southeast to northeasterly during today as the high moves over the southwestern Tasman Sea maintaining the ridge along the coast.
