Hello Friends,
A faint north breeze under sunny skies as of 080 this morning. Swell’s lost about half a metre over yesterday, but the period is still around the 13-sec mark from the SE and people were picking up waist to chest high sets at the point and along the beach. Busy of course with the hot day (40!!) coming up, but not insanely so for a Sunday. Tide was coming into the 1.7 m high at 0945.
The northerly wind should swing to the W-NW soo and start coming up into the 20-30 kt range as the heat builds. Fortunately we should have little waves to play with while cooling off.
Overnight Huey flicks the switch to southerly. From the models it seems as though we should have something small and southerly in the way of swell tomorrow morning when the wind will be be most favourable. Tuesday could be a day to miss it and then from Wednesday through Friday the call is for roaring SE wind and solid ESE swell along with showery weather (particularly Wednesday). But, next weekend currently looks okay on a lot of the forecasts. We shall see…
Have a top old Sunday everyone!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge towards northeast New South Wales, as a cold front approaches from the Southern Ocean. This front will bring a vigorous southerly change to southern and central parts of the coast today, weakening as it moves north on Monday. Following this, a strong high is expected to build over the southern Tasman Sea and push a new ridge along the New South Wales coast during Tuesday and Wednesday.
