Hello Friends,
Looking unsurfable at Dee Why as of 0700 this morning. Interestingly though the MHL is showing a metre of 15-sec east swell as of 0600. So, maybe… there just might be some fun knee to waist high bumps on the right tide at the right spot. Speaking of which the low is a 0.65 m at 0845 and then will be back to a 1.26 m high at 1455. Wind was light west early but is due to go around to the easterly quarters as the day warms up.
Outlook according to the models is for a (very) slight improvement to energy levels over the next 48 hours then a dip back into the micro to flat range around Friday-Saturday ahead of an intense south wind and swell event arriving sometime from mid to late Sunday and lasting well into next week.
Have a great Tuesday and keep on smilin’!
Sydney Coastal Waters Forecast: Broken Bay to Port Hacking
No warnings for New South Wales
Forecast issued at 4:10 am EST on Tuesday 8 May 2018.
Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is slowly moving east as a cold front rapidly moves east over the southern Tasman Sea. This will bring a brief southerly change to southern parts of the coast today. Winds are expected to strengthen on Thursday and Friday as a significant cold front crosses New South Wales, and a complex low pressure system is expected to form as this front moves across Bass Strait. This low is forecast to linger off the southern New South Wales or eastern Victorian coast until later on the weekend.
