"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Tuesday and clean early

Hello Friends,

Cloudy start to the day with the prospect of rain very obvious from looking at the horizon. Wind was coming lightly from the west as of 0730, but the Bureau says it’ll go south to SE soon and by the end of the day will be around to the east. At 0600 the MHL buoy was showing 2.4 metres of 11-12 sec of SE (140°) swell.

There were a dozen or so at the point when I took the pictures and the bigger sets looked to be overhead and a bit. As with yesterday it also appeared to be somewhat lully so if you’re tossing up whether or not to go out, wait for awhile to see if the sets are in your competency range. Dee Why’s not the spot for beginners this morning.

Tide is coming off a 0.6 m low at 0700 and is now running into a 1.3 m high at 1310.

The models are basically in agreement with the Bureau about the next three days – ie steady onshores and a decaying (but not going flat) swell conditions. From about Friday through to next Tuesday the long range predictions are calling for short period SE wind swell in the metre-ish range. So not a flat outlook, but kinda quiet.

Have a top old Tuesday everyone!

Maybe the odd peak up the beach – before the wind hits
Set at the point 0725
That one looks interesting
2-3 waves in the sets
