Hello Friends,
Not the most appetizing start to the day. Grey skies,
20-25 kts of SSW wind and a 2 metre SSE wind swell with a typical period of 7 seconds do not add up to much of anything surfwise. There were a few bods hanging out in the shories at Kiddies, but I didn’t see anyone pick up a wave. I’m guessing that when they do come in, they’re in the ankle to knee range for the most part. Outlook is for no real improvement across the day.
Outlook is for a possible slight improvement for the holiday Monday but the period will still be short and the wind will be out of the southerly quarters. According to some of the models, the surf prospects cog up another notch into the marginal-maybe better range on Tuesday.
We shall see…
Have a relaxing Sunday everyone and keep on smilin’!
Weather Situation
A high pressure near Tasmania with a ridge extending north is directing southerly winds along the state’s coast. Winds will turn westerly during Tuesday and Wednesday as a complex low pressure system moves east, south of the Bight.
