"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

A hint at Dee Why beach

Hello Friends,
The point looked to be flat at 0700, but there were a few people in the water at Kiddies chasing tiny, maybe knee high bumps. That’s more activity than I’ve seen since getting home on Sunday. The MHL buoy data from 0500 was showing 0.9 m of 12-sec south swell. Tide hit a 1.77 m high a little after 0700, so possibly as it drops, we’ll see a few more options. MHL’s modelling shows a slight increase toward midday. The northerly wind will be picking up as the day goes along – with obvious implications for some spots.
The Goat wasn’t able to drop a forecast last night, but he’ll be along with his wisdom later today, so I’ll confine my thoughts on the outlook to saying I’m a tiny bit hopeful for a small improvement tomorrow…
Have a great Friday one and all!

Nothing at the point but the occasional knee high bump at Kiddies as of 0700

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is moving eastwards across the Tasman Sea today, extending a ridge to the New South Wales coast. Meanwhile, a strong cold front is crossing South Australia, and will affect New South Wales on the weekend. Coastal winds are forecast to turn northerly and increase ahead of this system, which will bring a vigorous westerly change to the southern half of the coast on Saturday, extending throughout early Sunday. Conditions should gradually ease later Sunday and Monday, as a new high approaches from the west.
