The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Friday 10 August 2018: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

Hi folks

Surf outlook continues to be mostly smallish, but there should be the occasional nice little wave at some places at right tides etc..

Saturday: in the 1-2 metre range North East

Sunday: down in the 1-2 metre range Eastish

Monday: down more 1-1+metres only at places open to dead South

Tuesday: ditto

Wednesday: down again, small to flat

Thursday: ditto

Friday: there might be a small increase at South facing beaches.

I was at a celebration of life yesterday for surfboat legend and fellow Life Member of ABSLSC Rick Millar who passed away last weekend.  He had  battled problems with the Big C for some years – not that you would have known it, as he not only continued sweeping boats in several Aussie Titles after treatment, but won a Gold Medal at the last one in April in WA!  That is determination.

He used to joke that the P in his name was silent, but again you wouldn’t know that from hearing the positive comments from the many younger club members who said he had changed their lives for the better – an outstanding achievement in anyone’s life.  I will miss him. He can now give Midget an exclusive earbashing about the surf and boats, more than he used to. Midget will love that.. haha. RIP both of them.
