Small waves to be had

Hello Friends,

We seem to have a little swell this morning. It’s not big enough to kick the point into action, but despite the incoming tide (there’s a 1.57 m high at 1030), waves looked to be into the waist high range at No Mans. Wind was WNW at 10 kts when I grabbed the snaps, but like the tide, it’s going to come up soon. into the 15-20 kt range.

The MHL buoy was detecting 1.3 m of 10-sec SSE swell as of 0500. Water temp should be around the 16° mark.

From the look of the models, the current energy levels should last through the day as we head to a high of 22° under sunny skies. I’m definitely going to be out and about, so possibly more pictures and words later…

Speaking to the models, I’m liking the look of Monday’s prospects. Predictions range from 2-3 metres with periods in the 10-12 sec range from the south. Wind call is for westerlies and sunny conditions. The more pessimistic projections say it’ll tail away over the rest of the week, but the hopeful ones say it could be fun for a few days. Here’s hoping the latter prove closest to the mark,

Have a great Tuesday one and all, and check back later in case I update!
