Hello Friends,
Another grey morning with lumpy but catchable waist plus sets at Dee Why. Sorry about the blurry picture, but I was using a 40 year old lens handheld in low light, so, well anyway. At least you can sort of make out the little A-frame at Kiddies. So, not great quality, but at least they can be caught and fun can be had.
The MHL buoy was seeing 1.8 m from the SSE at 9 seconds apart. Wind at North Head as of 0600 was coming from the WSW at 6-9 kts but it will drift around to the easterly quarters as the day goes along. First tide of the day is a deep 1.7 m high at 0920. Despite the overcast conditions, there wasn’t much in the way of percipitation showing on the radar early and the Bureau doesn’t expect anything more than the odd sprinkle.
Your correspondent is off to the northern hemisphere in a few hours. Postcards to follow in due course.

South to southeast winds will begin to tend northeast today as a high pressure system moves over the western Tasman Sea. A cold front, currently over the Southern Ocean to the west of Tasmania, will bring another southerly change on Friday.
