Smaller and more inconsistent Monday morning

Hello Friends,

Noticeably smaller this morning at Dee Why. There were a few people at the point where the sets looked to be in the waist high range – but pretty infrequent. The MHL Sydney buoy is out of action but splitting the difference between Port Kembla and Crowdy Head suggests it’s about a metre from the east at 12-13 seconds. So, there should knee to waist high bumps at the better exposures.
Wind at 0730 was 8-12 kts from the NW. It should stay out of that direction and keep going at about the current intensity as we warm up to a high of 32. Tide hits a 1.5 m high at 1010. Water is still 21C.
From the look of the forecasts this morning, we’re not going to have much reason to get in the water this week. According to them, today’s as good as it gets until (maybe) mid-next week…
Stay cool and go well with your plans!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the northern parts of the New South Wales coast today while a trough is expected to bring a brief southerly change to the far south coast this morning. A strong cold front will bring a vigorous southerly change to southern and central parts of the coast during Tuesday, reaching the far north coast early Wednesday. Winds will gradually ease after this as a high moves across southeastern Australia, extending a ridge along the New South Wales coast.
