"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

A few pictures from Saturday

Had a look at Dee Why and Collaroy around midday. Swell has plenty of size, in fact it was maxing out both the beach and the point on the biggest sets, but it was also raw and lumpy. Around at Collaroy and Brownwater there lots of folks in the water and the bomb sets were around half the size and frequency compared to Dee Why. Waits were long and fun looking sections were few, far between and brief when they happened. Around the time I was taking the pictures below, the MHL Sydney buoy was recording 4.5 metre, 13-second swell from 150°. Wind was SSW at 12-20 kts.

Brownwater is such a hoax. This looks like a driving wall but was just the peak moment in a wobbly shutdown.
Rare makeable one at The Kick. Mostly they were just shutting down for the crowd of 20(!)
Sizable face
Kinda typical lumpy sectiony big set wave at Dee Why point midday
