Hello Friends,
Raining steadily this morning so no pictures for now. Looks from the MHL data as though the swell hadn’t arrived in Sydney as of 0600 when it was 2.4 m at 10 sec from the S-SSE. But it should be here very soon because the Port Kembla buoy was seeing 5 metres as of 0700. Wind was still westerly as of 0815, but that too should change soon to the SSW.
I’ll try to update this afternoon, conditions willing.
From the Bureau:
Weather Situation
A low pressure system off the South Coast is deepening, with its associated front sweeping the southern coast tonight and the rest of the coast on Tuesday. Vigorous southerly winds and heavy surf will develop along southern parts of the coast later today and extend northwards during Tuesday in response to the movement of the low and the associated front. The winds should start easing from Wednesday as a high pressure system over the Bight moves across the state from the mid week.
