More rain keeping the water woofy

Hello Friends,
It was a Pollution Possible day at every surf spot from Little Bay to Palm Beach yesterday afternoon. And it’s raining again as I write this a little before 0800 on Thursday morning. As the picture shows, there is swell and there were a few devil-may-care surfers in the water at Dee Why point. However, the quality was unimpressive. Swell was 2 metres out at sea as of 0600 this morning. It was coming from the SSE, but the period was just 8 seconds so it looked pretty gutless. Wind was out of the ENE at 5-6 kts. Tide will peak at 1115, but it’s a 1.5 m high, so kinda typical rather than super swampy.
The Goat should be along with his weekly outlook later today, so I’m hoping he’ll spy something interesting in what looks to me like a rather ho-hum, will-I won’t-I set of indicators. So check back for that and of course, have a great day!

You’d want to be keen – and indifferent to dodgy water quality

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near New Zealand extends a ridge to Bass Straight while a trough lies over New South Wales waters. This trough will dissipate later today while the high remains firm, gradually bringing north to northeasterly winds along the entire New South Wales coast. Winds are forecast to increase on Friday ahead of a cold front, which will bring a southerly change to the southern half of the coast during the weekend. A second front will soon follow on Monday, pushing the change to the Queensland border by Tuesday.
