Yay there are little waves for Sunday morning

Hello Friends,

Well, how ’bout that? Yesterday the swell started out just barely surfable in the morning and then faded out to near flat at most places in the afternoon. But overnight, it’s come back up again and this morning sees 2 metres at 8 seconds from the SSE (158°) as of 0600 at the MHL buoy. Around 0830 when I grabbed the snaps, Dee Why looked to be in the waist and a bit range on sets. The lines were close together and the point didn’t seem to be doing much (despite the crowd) but the wind was WSW and light under the clear blue skies. The Bureau says the wind will get around to light onshore by midday, but they’re also calling for the swell to be in the 2 metre range offshore too.
Tide was low at 0645 and will be back to high at 1330.
Outlook is for generally small to tiny conditions across the coming week as the south swell stays around the metre mark give or take and the average period bumbles around at or below 10 seconds. Water should stay around the current 19C.
Have a great day and if you go for a wave, take your sunny attitude ’cause it won’t be uncrowded on any of the functioning peaks.
