Back to weak and small

Hello Friends,
Energy levels continued to fade as expected overnight and this morning sees rather weak looking waist to chest and a bit conditions. Ocean’s still somewhat lumpy but the surface was smooth at 0700. At 0500 the MHL buoy was picking up 2 metre, 10 second stuff from the SSE east. So, your best hope for size early were the south magnets. Tide was high at 0400 and is now dropping to the low at 1045. Skies were mostly cloudy (in line with the forecast) and we’re due to see a high of 26C along the beaches. Water is 23C according to Beachwatch.

Went for a closer look at the conditions and took a few pics.

There were around 20 in the water at the fun left bank formed by the last couple of swells. Waits were long, but if you jagged a set wave, it looked fun. Kinda lumpy and rippy plus water didn’t look great.

The peak is back
Kinda rippy but definitely surfable on set waves

Fewer people and fewer waves at the point. Rides were shorter too, but saw a couple of cover ups.

This section was pretty much the whole wave, but I’m sure this person didn’t mind

Outlook is for conditions to bumble along in this marginal fashion until around Thursday when both the ECM and Wavewatch models are indicating a south pulse in the 2.5 m, 11 second range.
Have a good Monday everyone!

Weather Situation
A light pressure pattern lies across the region in the wake of ex-Tropical Cyclone Uesi, with a high pressure system south of the continent slowly moving southeast. Southeasterly winds are expected to tend northeasterly by Monday evening ahead of the next cold front, which is forecast to bring a southerly change to New South Wales waters in the middle of the week. A low pressure system may develop near the southeast of the continent on Wednesday in response to the front, possibly strengthening winds and developing hazardous surf conditions, before rapidly moving away to the east.
