Showers here and there

Hello Friends,
Looks from the radar like a showery start to the day for Sydney. Happily for early risers, there seems to be some energy at south swell spots. Wind is set to swing south later, but as of 0700 it was light SW and swell was dead south at 2.5 metres at about 10 seconds apart (figure waist to shoulder at best exposures).
Interestingly, we have the same showery weather as you do in Sydney here in Santa Barbara. Unfortunately we don’t have the waves or the 25C water.
While it looks as though Sydney will be southerly today and tomorrow, Tuesday might be fun for you, especially the morning session when the wind should be SW and the swell is packing a little more punch in terms of period…
Today’s postcard features the abject flatness of Goleta’s Campus point and the blowy but bigger stuff 2 hours north of here at Morro Bay.

Morro Bay, California. Sideshore, cold water and waist to shoulder high.
Campus point utterly feeble… again

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over the Southern Ocean is extending a ridge along the coast, bringing a south to southeasterly airstream. Winds will gradually become east to northeasterly over the southern and central parts of the coast during the mid week as the high moves over the Tasman Sea.
