Sunny skies, light NW wind but out at sea the swell is still only 0.8 metres at 11 seconds from 175°. As the pictures show, there were a few hopefuls along the beach, but not at the point. Tide is coming into a moderate 1.5 m at 0900. It should be mostly sunny with a positively summery high of 28C. Water is 22C.
The ever reliable Goat rolled out his usual Thursday evening look-ahead at surf prospects last night and as always I commend his expert thoughts to you.

In addition, it is against the law to gather with more than two people in public, except:
- for members of the same household
- where the gathering is essential for work or education
- If you go out, stay 1.5 metres away from other people at all times.
The rules are also now enforceable and Police are issuing fines of $1000 for individuals and $5000 for companies. These are difficult circumstances and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Weather Situation
A cold front is skimming past southern New South Wales today, while a ridge of high pressure lies over the north. This ridge will remain the dominant feature until Sunday, when the next cold front and associated trough sweep across from the west. Behind this, a new high is forecast to drift overhead during the first half of next week.
