Fading into waiting mode

Hello Friends,

As expected, the swell has faded out on us and this morning sees ankle to maybe knee high little lines being fanned by 7-9 kts of north wind under mostly clear skies. Out at sea the buoys were detecting around a metre of 9-second S-SSE bump offshore from Sydney. The forecast tells us not to expect any improvement to conditions today.

I’ll be keen to see what the Goat thinks about our surf prospects when he rolls out his weekend and week-ahead forecast. My reading of the models is that we could see some energy filling in on Sunday…

Go well everyone!

SUPs are go for these conditions

Weather Situation
Northerly winds are increasing ahead of the passage of a cold front, which will bring a west to southwesterly change to southern and central parts of the coast today. A second, weaker, front is forecast to cross the state on Friday. Winds will tend south to southwesterly on the weekend and persist into the new week, as the fronts move away to the east and a ridge of high pressure extends across the state from the west.
