The Goat’s Surf Forecast

The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 16 July 2020: Seven day outlook for Sydney:

It’s big, and wild and woolly, and big and cold and wet and windy too.  Did I say it was big and out of control? Currently around 4 metres from South East with a hefty 12 second period.

And it’ll be bigger and etc and etc tomorrow too.

I didn’t see anyone out today. And I’d be surprised if I did tomorrow, but you never know.

Conditions are only suitable, if that’s the appropriate word, for very experienced, highly fit, crazy people.

Hey cheer up! You can still exercise away your frustrations… and doesn’t everyone have those at the moment, crazy or not… Exercise is good for you. You might get yourself fitter for when the surf is more human friendly.

Friday: around 4 – 5 metres East South East and as mentioned above

Saturday: easing back slightly to around 3 metres East South East with punch. Maybe cleaner looking lines to watch, but still ditto

Sunday:  back a little more to around 2 metres East South East with some oomph

Monday: eased back early on, might be ok. But with a change in swell direction after the wind turns SW, starting to come up at places open to dead South, somewhere in the 1-2 metre range

Tuesday: coming up in the 1-2 metre range at places open to dead South

Wednesday:around 1 metre or so dead South

Thursday: around 1 metre dead South

Keep smiling. Be positive. Stay safe.

Look at all that open space and blue sky. But you see those white lines that you can’t really see from space (or can you???), well you might want to check here before trying to cross some of them at the moment >>>
