Saturday surfin’

Hello Friends,

Beautiful, if chilly morning out there with some fun waves to be had. Swell was focusing near Surfrider Gardens on the Collaroy-Narrabeen stretch and there were lots of folks on it too. But there should be waves most everywhere this morning. The Dee Why to Longy stretch had knots of surfers dotted along the beach from from the life guard hut at Longy to the point. As the pictures show, sets were in the chest to shoulder plus range. Out at sea swell was 1.6 metres at 11 seconds from the east. Wind was out of the west as of 0720 at 6-7 kts. It should stay at about that intensity and direction all day. Tide was high at 0630 and will be back to low a little after noon. We’re going to a high of 19C today and Beachwatch reports the water is currently 17C.
Go well, have fun and mask up when you go into enclosed public spaces. I know it’s not the law (yet) or anything, but you don’t have to be ordered to protect others do you?
