"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Big this morning

Hello Friends,

Chilly and cloudy but the wind backed off overnight so surface conditions were reasonably smooth. There might have been one or two in the water near the point this morning, but sets looked to be at the upper limit of surfable. Out for a closer look, for more pics and words later…

Weather Situation
A low pressure system off the northern New South Wales coast is currently generating vigorous southerly winds and large seas. The low will weaken and move steadily away to the east today, with conditions easing as a high pressure ridge becomes dominant over the state’s east. This high is expected to move to the the Tasman Sea on Wednesday, with coastal winds shifting northerly before a trough brings a brief westerly change to most coastal areas on Thursday. A more significant change looks set to arrive on the weekend.
