Sleepy Saturday surf options

Hello Friends,
Sunny skies and a smooth sea on a cool Spring Saturday morning with only ankle to knee and a bit high waves at best NE exposures. That pretty much leaves out Dee Why but there are a few peaks from about Surfrider Gardens to North Narrabeen. Wind was out of the west at 5-7 kts and the buoy data showed 0.7 metres of 7-second wind bump from 113°. First tide of the daylight hours is a 1.46m high at 1005. By the time it’s back to low at 1600, the southerly should be up and likely extinguishing the last hope of any surf for the day.Not a great outlook on the ECM and Wavewatch models this morning. Swell seems likely to hover around the metre mark with periods in the sub-10 second range through the coming week. It looks as though we could see a small uptick toward the end of the week, but it could be pretty south (both wind and swell) and weak (short period), so my expectations are for soft knee to waist at magnets in the mornings from about Wednesday.

Have a top old Saturday and catch you again tomorrow!

Weather Situation
A cold front entering the far south coast early this morning will bring a southerly wind change along the coast today, and continues heading north to reach the far north coast by early Sunday. A high pressure system will move across the south during the weekend in the wake of the front, then northerly winds are forecast to develop from Monday as the high pressure system moves into the Tasman Sea and another cold front approaches from the west.
