"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Wintry look but a mild feel

Hello Friends,
The southerly arrived right on schedule and this morning sees blustery SSW wind, lowering skies – but no real sign of an improvement to swell conditions. It’s 1.8 metres out at sea, but average periods are a choppy 5-6 seconds and it’s dead south. There’s really no prospect of an improvement to the waves today and tomorrow doesn’t look a lot more hopeful. Swell direction should get more around to the east on Friday and it’s set to be a bit bigger, but the period isn’t going to improve much according to the models. So maybe… possibly…

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure will move along the coast today and Thursday, bringing a fresh to strong southerly change to New South Wales waters. Winds are then expected to gradually tend east to northeasterly by Friday as a high pressure system moves over the Tasman Sea.
