"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Smaller but not flat

Hello Friends,

Grey skies this morning and the prospect of the odd light shower on the cards for us today. Swell has faded overnight and it looked as though the point was the only option at the Dee Why end of the beach as of 0630. As the pictures show, sets were in the waist high range at the point, and not big enough up toward No Mans to have attracted any takers. Out at sea the swell was 1.8 metres at 12-13 seconds from the SSE (164°) and tide was just coming into the 1.4 m high at 0720. Wind was coming lightly from the NNW and it’s expected to pick up into the 15-25 kts from the north as the day goes along.

The Bureau has hoisted the warning for deceptive surf conditions and the models show an influx of 15-16 sec SE swell from this afternoon, so it they have it right, tomorrow could be pretty solid at south magnets. With luck the energy will stick around into the weekend.

Look after yourselves and take those masks for when you go inside.

Waist high on sets at 0630
Not much showing up the beach at 0630
