"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Missable morning

Hello Friends,
Misty, grey and messy, with low quality surf options. Easy to give it a pass.
Swell at sea is 2.2 m at 10 seconds from the ENE, so nothing like the stuff pounding the north coast right now. Wind was light east as of 0800, but both it and the swell should ramp up during the day. First tide of the day is a swampy 2 m high at 0925.
Weather will be showery all day, with totals getting into the 20-25mm range. Beachwatch says water is 21C and not showing signs of pollution – yet. The weather should be showery right into the beginning of next week, so water quality is highly likely to be affected.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system sits over the southern Tasman Sea while a low pressure system near the southern Queensland coast extends a trough just inland along the northern New South Wales coast. This is generating southeast to northeasterly winds and large waves along much of the coast. On Tuesday, the trough is expected to move further inland and weaken. After this, another trough is expected to bring a southerly wind change to the southern coastal waters on Wednesday.
