Misty and foggy early with lumpy bumpy seas

Hello Friends,

Visibility at RealSurf HQ was down to 100m as of 0700 thanks to thick and drippy fog. Down at North Head the wind was coming from the ENE at 12-17 kts, while out at sea the buoy was seeing a touch over 2 metres of 10-11 sec ENE swell. Tide was coming in to a 2 metre high at 1015. Weather is set to be showery all day as we go to a high of 27C with a 90% chance of rain (accumulations from 15-25mm).
So, on the numbers alone, you know it’s not going to be anything special at the beach.
Outlook for tomorrow isn’t exactly red hot either. The wind should be more norherly and maybe not too strong for the dawn patrollers, but it’s still going to be cloudy and showery. The ENE swell looks like fading back a bit from today’s levels both in terms of average height and period. At this stage it looks as though the rainy stuff will reintensify Friday afternoon while the swell settings remain more or less the same. With luck Friday morning will see the odd sunny break.
