Hello Friends,
Too misty for a shot of the beach from RealSurf HQ as Sunday got started. From the look of the data and the cams, it’s not super tiny, but the waist to chest high sets looked comparatively weak and floppy. Out at sea the buoy was seeing 1.4 metres of 10 second east swell. Wind was a light 4-5kt SSE’r as of 0840. The wind should swing around to the NE and be 10-15kts by this afternoon. The cloudy and drizzly conditions will continue all day and tomorrow it’s set to rain. So, although surfing is allowed for exercise, it’s easy to give it a miss today. Looks as though there might be a few little waves midweek, so stay home and steer clear of the virus. If you have to go out, wear a mask to protect yourself and others.
Take care!
Weather Situation
Winds are easing with the weakening of a trough near the northern New South Wales coast. On Monday winds are expected to turn north to northeasterly as another trough develops over inland New South Wales. Within this second trough, a transient low pressure system may briefly form on Monday night and move away on Tuesday, accompanied by strengthening northeast to southeasterly winds.
