Beautiful Sunday morning with glassy little waves too

Hello Friends,

What an absolute corker of a morning in Syney. Puffy white clouds against a bright blue sky, a faint WSW breeze and tiny knee to waist high waves courtesy of a 1 metre 8-9 second SSE wind swell. We’d all like more wave energy, but at least there’s something for everybody coming out of lockdown along the north end of the peninsula.
Outlook is for the swell, such as it is, to gradually decrease and to be pretty close to flat tomorrow as we go into a summery NE wind regime. And then the rest of the week is currently shaping to bump along in the near flat range thanks to weak, local NE windswell. This morning’s models show at least a hope of a bit of a bump into the waist to chest plus range late next weekend as the NE windswell builds up a bit.
Water is on 22 and today’s tides with a low tide at 1315 and a high of 1.36 m at 1910.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the New South Wales coast. The high will drift slowly east during the next few days, and this movement will be accompanied by a gradual shift to east to northeasterly winds in most coastal areas over the coming days. A trough may bring a brief southerly change to the southern coast on Tuesday, with a more substantial change likely during the second half of the week.
