Scrappy southerly conditions

Hello Friends,

After rain overnight, Tuesday started out with a bit of sunshine. Wind was out of the ESE at 10-15 kt so, as you can see from the pics, surface conditions were very choppy. Still, it looked to be rideable and out at sea the swell was 2 metres at 9-10 seconds from 135° (SE). Set wave faces looked to be in the shoulder high range. Tide is currently running into the 1.5m high at midday.
The SE wind should pick up into the 15-20kt range – so it’s really only going to get messier – but the waves should actually pick up a little as we get a little kick from the east, which should be the dominant influence tomorrow.
We’re stuck in an onshore wind trend until Friday morning when there could be good fun size and relatively clean conditions for the early at spots that like east energy.
Go well everybody and keep the mask handy for indoors!

Blowy old morning

Weather Situation

A trough of low pressure lies off the northern New South Wales coast while a high sits to the southeast of Tasmania. This pattern is producing fresh to strong southeasterly winds along much of the coast. Winds will remain east to southeasterly throughout the remainder of the week as the high slowly drifts over the southern Tasman Sea.
