Rough old southerly morning

Hello Friends,
Grey skies, occasional showers and 14-23 kts of southerly wind raking the beaches this morning. As the pictures show, there are waves, but they’re rough and you’d want to be very keen to make the effort. Set wave faces looked to be in the chest to shoulder high range along the beach and more waist to chest at the point. Out as sea the swell was 2.6 metres from the SSW (190°) at 12 seconds. Water’s still on 24C.
Tomorrow should see the wind back off a little – and the swell fade too as it stays straight south.
This morning’s models are generally predicting another dead south pulse for Saturday. It’s looking like being significantly juicier though. If the high end of predictions happens, we could see 3+ metres of 14 second power along with light south wind Saturday, then backing off a touch on Sunday with offshores for the early session.
Interesting prospects anyway.
Go well with your Wednesday everyone!
